Marilyn Wenz, Esq. , received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in June 1998 and was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in July 1999. Since she was admitted, she has devoted her energies to the practice of domestic relations law in Suffolk County Supreme Court and Family Court. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, Appellate Practice Committee, Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association and Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association.
Her experience includes numerous intricate and involved matrimonial and custody actions, as well as post-divorce enforcement and modification proceedings, including relocation. She has also handled numerous successful appeals, many of which have been reported cases of significant interest and have appeared in continuing legal education course books for the matrimonial bar. In addition to managing the firm and supervising all client matters, her primary responsibilities include consultations, case strategy, negotiating and drafting stipulations of settlement, motions and pleadings.
Prior to becoming a solo practitioner, she was an associate attorney with Christine Grobe, Esq. from June 1996 until January 2005 and a partner in the law firm Grobe and Wenz, L.P. from January 2005 until August 2010 where her primary function was to conduct legal research and prepare all motions, pleadings, petitions, and written submissions for all client matters, including appeals.
